I was thrilled to be able to go by "the 50 cents store" recently. Well, I call it the 50 cents store. The building itself has a formal name. It's a brainstorm of an idea, this store. It's a sister store to several other thrift stores, housing all the clothing items that did not sell in a timely fashion. So if something hangs around too long in one of the other three stores, it gets marked to 50 cents and sent to the 50 cents store. I have found so many items there that were perfect as is, and lots of things that I repurposed.
This adorable (and I believe vintage?) red Izod shirt was hanging there for 50 cents!
The detail on the front is perfect!!
And I do claim red as one of my best colors. Mostly. :)
I think when you find an Izod shirt and a Banana Republic skirt for 50 cents each, there is no reason not to twirl. What do YOU think?
