Sheer Polka Dots and Denim

Dear Dress Lovers,

Last night the Mister took me out to eat.  He loves wearing jeans, after being in a suit all day, and so I dressed "down" a beautiful new thrifted blouse.

This is one of my favorite skirts, but I never thought of it as dressy.  Until yesterday

A gold clutch holds only the things I have to have for dinner out.

Details
Blouse:  MSK, thrifted
Skirt:  Arden B., thrifted
Clutch:  Ann Taylor LOFT, thrifted

In other news, I have been mighty busy setting up a new little greenhouse.  Wanna see?

Do you love to garden?  Do you like to dress denim up for an evening out?

Love seeing your green house. I do like to container garden and garden in small places, since that's all the space I have. I like to grow herbs.

  3. I love your greenhouse. I see you've added creative little touches to make it more you.
That is a gorgeous blouse. I love to dress up denim all the time. Most outings I do are too casual for much more than that. Denim is great that way.

I don't own much denim, just the ubiquitous waistcoat and a feather-trimmed maxi. x

  5. I only really wear one piece of denim, a jacket, which I love. I use it in the opposite way to you, to dress down some of my more flamboyant dresses, especially maxis. But I like the idea of your way, dressing denim up with a beautiful blouse, you look lovely. The greenhouse looks pretty good too! xxxxx

    1. Curtise, hello! Thanks so much! And I guess the denim does dress the blouse down! Is it a cup half empty/half full thing? You need some sunshine over there! LOL. xoxo Lynn

    1. Hi Clare! Yes, I am ready for spring! Cannot wait to see bits of green poking through the ground. I never wear jeans. I am a dresses only girl, pretty much all the time. I do don overalls for the garden! xoxo

  8. I used to always just dress up jeans for a night out, but I tend to wear a dress or a tunic and leggings more now, because I wear jeans most days so it's nice to feel a bit different. You look glowing here Lynn, that blouse is so pretty on you. I like clutch bags but I can't travel light so if I use one it's always bursting at the seams.
I'm the kiss of death to all plants but Pat loves gardening and bought a second hand greenhouse last year where he has lots of experiments going on. I like what you've done with yours, I have a shed Pat built me and it was meant to be all pretty, but it's just jam packed with stuff now, I need to clean it out and sort it out. xx
